Sometimes we all need a little sinful treat to sooth the soul, and this certainly achieves that feat. If you’re in a hurry or just too tired to cook something that requires your unadulterated attention, then this is the recipe for you. Imagine crusty, white bread dipped into a quick, thyme-scented fondue.

Ingredients (serves four as a starter, or two as a cosy, romantic supper)
- 2 boxed Camembert wheels
- 2 tsp white vermouth
- 4 sprigs lemon thyme
- 1 tsp sea salt flakes
- 1 tsp black, cracked pepper
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- Crusty bread to serve
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
- Gently slice the rind from the top of the Camembert; though keep them in the bottom half of the boxes. Ensure that you have removed all other packaging.
- Splash the vermouth over each wheel, then add the thyme sprigs, sea salt, pepper, and olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, and serve.
